Our bodies are made up of 70% water. Water is essential in the function of our bodies.
How much water is enough?
Water consumption may vary with each person depending on their lifestyle and activities, for example, a person who partakes in a lot of physical exercise will need to increase their water intake to replace water lost from the body through sweating. Our environment, such as air conditioning can also be dehydrating so water will need to be replaced.
Alcohol is very dehydrating on the body so fluids will also need to be replaced when consuming alcohol.
On average 8 glasses, a day can keep us hydrated and this can be sourced from various fruits, vegetables and drinks.
